“Edvocate brought with them the expertise and know-how to determine our needs and concerns, then translated that into meaningful specifications, favorable contract terms that have ensured the level of services we expect. They provided us with a turn-key process.”
– Mr. Henry Bermann, former Superintendent
Client: | The Pittsgrove School District, in New Jersey, formed a consortium with five additional districts and a charter school network to contract for custodial services, including custodial management expertise, for its collective 26 buildings. The Pittsgrove School District is the lead contracting district (LEA) for the consortium, which spans 43 miles from Pennsville to Camden, NJ. |
Situation: | The outsourcing of custodial and management operations was not working. The management company originally selected was delivering inappropriate level of services and staffing levels were not being met. |
Result: | Following Edvocate’s proven RFP process using competitive contracting, the consortium changed vendors and began contracting with local companies. |
Benefit: | The consortium improved the level of services of their custodial program within its very tight facilities budget while holding the management company more accountable. Quality has substantially improved resulting in much cleaner buildings. |
